The Meta Gala has traditionally been timed to align with the opening of the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute’s annual fashion exhibition. Since 1995 the Meta Gala has been organized and presided over by Anna Wintour (Editor-In-Chief of Vogue Magazine. The event is rumored to raise $17.4 million from the 2022 gala for the museums fashion wing.
